"PM Modi Unveils $7 Billion Mega Expo Center! You Won't Believe What's Inside!"

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the first phase of the India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC), also known as 'YashoBhoomi' in Dwarka. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce, "At 11 AM, 17th September, I will inaugurate Phase-1 of YashoBhoomi, a state-of-the-art and modern convention and expo centre in Dwarka, Delhi."

On the occasion of his 73rd birthday, the Prime Minister will launch the PM Vishwakarma scheme at IICC, coinciding with Vishwakarma Jayanti celebrations. This fully funded scheme, with a budget of Rs 13,000 crore, aims to support and skill individuals engaged in traditional crafts, covering 18 such crafts. With the Lok Sabha elections looming, this scheme is viewed as a significant political outreach effort by the government, targeting the largely OBC community, to which Vishwakarmas belong.
